"Thirty Bushels an Acre"

Fife Siding , Montana  NEW

These grain silos are located at the Fife railroad siding east of Great Falls, Montana.  I took the proverbial "artistic license" of moving the 1888 Minneapolis steam engine from Paul Menke's Farming Musem a few miles to the west of this location.  When I looked into how many bushels an acre you could grow in eastern Montana, I had answers of 12 to 60.  I guess that tells us that growing grain can be a risky business at best.  Barbara Coppock
