"The Sun River Barn"

This incredible stone horse barn was constructed in 1885 for JC Adams. It lies north of Great Falls along the road to Rogers Pass.  These days it's a little harder to see because there are many farm buildings around it, but in its heyday, it must have been the dominant landmark in the area. There are the usual stories about the purposes it served in the community, but one of the more interesting ones was how the neighborhood kids used to roller skate on the second floor.
