Notes from the Artist:
As you travel across the country, the great plains seem endless.
The first hint of a change in the landscape occurs when a thin blue
line appears on the western horizon. You drive for hours, watching
the line grow into a flat ribbon, creating a band between earth and
sky.
Finally, the dull blue begins to separate itself into mountains,
valleys, and snow capped peaks. You stop and can do nothing but stand
in awe of the Rocky Mountain Front in Montana. I was lucky enough to fill my
eyes with this grandeur in autumn, when the aspen had turned golden
and the first snow had fallen
