I draw upon my own visual experiences for nearly all of my subjects.  Once in a great while, I will learn of a place from the past, that has left a lasting impact.  This lodge on Wildhorse Island, Flathead Lake, Montana, is one of those.  I found a beautiful photo by Snitzmeirer and drew this etching.  (I am working on the history, and will soon add more to these comments.)
